Despite the lockdown of buildings and laboratories at The Ohio State University, electrical and computer engineering (ECE) faculty and students have not slowed their efforts.

Art Gooray, of the Technology Commercialization Office, reported ECE jumped from fourth place to second among the College of Engineering departments for invention disclosure activity this year.

According to Ohio State’s Corporate Engagement Office, there was an overall 67% boost in College of Engineering technology commercialization and invention disclosure activity from March to April this year.

The current top three COE departments are Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering with 22 technology disclosures this year, Electrical and Computer Engineering with 21, and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with 15.
