Patton wins Polarization Technical Group Poster award at the Frontiers in Optics conference

On September 17, ElectroScience Laboratory Graduate Research Associate Ryan Patton won second place in the rapid-fire presentation competition held during the Optical Society's (OSA) Polarization Technical Group networking event. The event took place during the Frontiers in Optics conference.

Each presentation could include a maximum of one slide only to provide an overview of the basic idea behind the research and its impact. Attendees visited each poster and cast votes to help determine Patton as the winner to receive a $250 prize. 

Patton, a Ph.D. student in the Ohio State Electrical and Computer Engineering program, is advised by Professor Ronald M. Reano.  

The OSA Polarization Technical Group networking event highlighted the research being done in this topic area by students and early career professionals.
