About

Gregg Chapman joined ECE in June 2014 as lab supervisor for the sophomore year labs.

He is a central Ohio native, born in Columbus and raised in Delaware County.  He received his BS in Biomedical Engineering (1983) and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics (1996) from Case Western Reserve University.

He has worked in Surgical Research (St. Luke's Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio), Functional Electrical Stimulation (Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Metro General Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio), and Measurement Systems Development (Caterpillar Inc, Peoria, Ill.).

From 2001-2009, he was Manager of Instrument Development Programs for Neoprobe Corporation (Dublin, Ohio), a company originally co-founded by the late Dr. Marlin O. Thurston.  As a continuation of that work, Chapman has chosen to pursue a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the area of intraoperative gamma detection.  For the past four years, he has been heavily involved in organizing and instructing undergraduate laboratories.
