Winners picked in Kraus Poster Competition

The winner of the 2014 John D. and Alice Nelson Kraus Memorial poster competition for graduate students focused on intelligent transportation in producing his winning entry.

Guchan Ozbilgin's entry, “Using Scaled Down Testing to Improve Full Scale Intelligent Transportation,” was selected from 18 entries in the fifth annual competition, which was held April 24 at the ElectroScience Center. His advisor was Professor Umit Ozguner.

Second place went to Patrick Wensing for his work, “Planning and Control of High-Speed Running for a Humanoid Robot.” His advisor is Professor David Orin.

Third place went to Anup Sasikumar for “Direct evidence of deep trap induced on-resistance degradation effects in GaN/Si power HEMTs using advanced high voltage thermal and optical defect spectroscopies.” His advisors were Professors Steve Ringel and Aaron Arehart.

These displays represent innovative and exciting research by some of the best and brightest graduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
