AI-EDGE Institute Featured During Joint NSF and FCC Workshop

The Ohio State University's AI-EDGE Institute was a feature of a recent joint workshop held by the National Science Foundation and the Federal Communications Commission.
The workshop, "The Opportunities and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence for Communications Networks and Consumers," convened stakeholders to discuss the opportunities that artificial intelligence (AI) presents for spectrum management and network resiliency, and the challenges AI brings to vital consumer issues like robocalls/robotexts and digital discrimination.
ECE and CSE Professor Ness Shroff, AI-EDGE Institute director, participated in the panel on “AI’s Dramatic Impact on Communications Networks and Technologies.”
At this meeting, AI-EDGE was called out several times including in talks by the NSF Director Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan and NSF Assistant Director for CISE Dr. Margaret Martonosi. A video of the event features Shroff at around 1:07:00.
