Open Senior Endowed Chaired Tenure-Track Faculty Position
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering


The Ohio State University and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are inviting applications for a senior endowed chaired tenure-track faculty position in computer engineering, targeted at strengthening this core area of the department. We are especially interested in faculty specializing in (i) robotics, (ii) cybersecurity and mobility, and (iii) artificial intelligence with applications in medical sciences and/or manufacturing. The position may involve joint appointments with other departments.
Required Qualifications:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related area. Successful candidates are expected to:
•       Develop and maintain a vigorous externally funded research program, as evidenced by grants and awards from a variety of funding agencies;
•       Show excellence and leadership in both scholarly and professional activities, as evidenced by a strong record of publications and service in technical societies;
•       Show outstanding instructional skills in the classroom at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as evidenced by curricular development, awards for teaching, and teaching innovations; and
•       Show leadership in or contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as evidenced by a record of instructing, advising, mentoring, and impacting students of all backgrounds, including students from underrepresented backgrounds.
