After joining the MOSAiC climate science research expedition to the Arctic this year, Ohio State Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate student Oguz Demir said the wonder of being there far outweighed any hardships.

Upon his return to Ohio, Demir sat down and discussed the trip, from his experience with the extreme cold and constant darkness, to the polar bear vists.

On Wednesday May 27, Demir will deliver a seminar about his overall remote sensing research experience and findings as a result of participating in the largest climate science expedition in history. The seminar will also highlight some of the challenges of conducting research on sea ice.

Because this event will be advertised via social media, the seminar will take place over Carmen Zoom Webinar in order to ensure Zoom security.
