DeGroat retires, staying involved

Staff, faculty and friends wished longtime professor Joanne DeGroat a happy retirement on Friday, March 24.

DeGroat began her career with Kodak and the United States Air Force in the 1970s and 80s, before coming to The Ohio State University in 1990.

Her lifelong work in computer architecture, hardware and electronic design is respected and her mentorship remains valued by students.

DeGroat said she plans to remain active with student mentorship and research.
