Among those staff members working in the background every day at The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, it's well known that program coordinator Carol Duhigg helps keep it all on track.

That’s why The Ohio State University Alumni Association just named her the 2016 CARL of the Year award winner. The award recognizes staff members who serve as Campus Alumni Relations Liaisons (CARL) for the alumni society. It highlights employee efforts that go above and beyond the job description, showing ongoing dedication and a service of more than three continuous years.

Craig Little, director of Ohio State Alumni Societies, said Duhigg was chosen by her peers because of her superior individual service to the EE/ECE Alumni Society.

As her nominating letter states, “Everything Carol does with our society is beyond her job description – a true service to our alumni. She has great insights from working with our department for many years, and we rely on her and her tireless effort way more than is reasonable or fair. Her work has strengthened our relationship with the department, and she is truly the go-to-person for all of us.”

An awards lunch and recognition event will take place during the Alumni Club & Society Leadership Symposium on Friday, Sept. 26 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fawcett Center, ballrooms A-D.
