Chris Bellman, a third year student from Cincinnati, OH majoring in electrical and computer engineering with a minor in business, has been named one of the newest Buckeye Leadership Fellows.

“I applied to Buckeye Leadership Fellows because I believe that students should take advantage of as many opportunities as they can while at Ohio State,” says Bellman. “BLF appealed to me because it helps you develop real-life skills that are often missing in the classroom. In addition to networking with many professionals in Columbus, it helps you learn and develop by pushing you outside your comfort zone and getting you into real business situations. I'm very excited to have been selected and can't wait to see what the next two years have to offer.”

Bellman is very interested in consumer technology and started his own IT business in high school, which he still maintains remotely. On campus, he serves as president of Fine By Me, a campaign to spread LGBT awareness, and as a program coordinator in the Student-Alumni Council. He will work in the Business IT department at Cardinal Health in Dublin, OH this summer. In the future, Bellman hopes to get his MBA and work as a project manager at a consumer technology company.

The Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program provides transformative experiences which empower third and fourth year undergraduate students to challenge themselves to continuously improve, to identify their place within the world, and to mindfully engage in their post-graduate pursuits.
