ECE Students receive awards at 2011 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference

Damoun Ahmadi, an electrical and computer engineering graduate student, received a best presentation award at the 2011 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference. The conference was held March 6-10, 2011 in Fortworth, Texas.

Ahmadi’s presentation, “Circuit Topology Study for Distributed MPPT in Very Large Scale PV Power Plants,” was co-authored with Seyed Akbar Mansour and Jin Wang

In addition, Ke Zou, an electrical and computer engineering graduate student, was selected to receive a $1000 travel award to the 2011 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference.

Ahmadi and Zou are both advised by Prof. Jin Wang.
