ECE grad students win poster awards at 2010 OSU Materials Week

Electrical and computer engineering graduate students Qilin Gu and Digbijoy Nath are two of the ten award winners of the 2010 OSU Materials Week student poster competition. A total of eighty research posters were presented at the event by Ohio State students and postdoctoral researchers.

Qilin Gu, a graduate student in electrical and computer engineering, was named one of ten student poster winners for The Influence of High-k Gate Dielectrics on Deep Traps in AlGaN/GaN High Electron Mobility Transistors Measured by Deep Level Spectroscopy Methods. He is advised by Prof. Steven Ringel; with co-authors A. Arehart, A. Malonis, S. Ringel, O. Saadat and T. Palacios.

Digbijoy Nath, a graduate student in electrical and computer engineering, was also named one of ten student poster winners for InGaN/GaN Quantum Well Devices. He is advised by Prof. Siddharth Rajan; with co-authors S. Krishnamoorthy, F. Akyol and S. Rajan.

OSU Materials Week is an annual conference held each September that showcases materials-allied research at The Ohio State University and beyond. The 2010 event had more than 330 researchers from OSU, other universities, industry and government labs who attended technical talks, poster sessions and evening receptions covering the full spectrum of materials-allied research.
