Buckeye Engineering Women in Executive Leadership (BEWEL) invites you to its upcoming innovation panel discussion and networking reception! Join us on March 31 as we grow our community of women and allies who are invested in making Ohio State the destination of choice for female engineers.

In academia and industry, innovation is the lifeblood of success, but how do successful individuals move from ideas to impact? What behaviors sharpen their personal competitive edge? Ayanna Howard, dean of the College of Engineering, will moderate a discussion with alumni about tools and techniques to help you become a better innovator.

Panelists include these three trailblazing Buckeye Engineers:

  • Nancy Dawes, Serial innovator who transformed the Olay and Pringles brands with product innovations that reframed existing markets.
  • Janet Braun, Start-up advisor in legal and operational roles; most recently general counsel and COO of HBT Labs, Inc., which focuses on complex injectable pharmaceuticals (acquired by American Regent, Inc. in 2022).
  • Lee Ann Schwope Cochran, Partner at Amphora Consulting and advocate for women and girls’ access to education, with a passion for helping organizations position themselves for growth through innovation and strategic focus.

BEWEL was established in 2019 to advocate for women students and faculty in the College of Engineering by encouraging growth as leaders who shape our world. Please be our guest and enjoy our fascinating speakers and a great opportunity for networking. This invitation may be forwarded to guests interested in learning more about BEWEL.

Doors open at 3:45 p.m.
