Please join Chakka Manning, ECE alum, as she talks about the paths which guided her both personally and professionally to all she has achieved. She will also share obstacles she encountered along the way as a woman and, more specifically as a Black woman, in a STEM field.

Manning is a member of the systems engineering senior staff for Aeronautics at Lockheed Martin in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. As deputy integration project lead, she oversees software simulation efforts for U.S. Air Force jets. She received her B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University. She is a recipient of the 2016 National Women of Color Technology Rising Star Award. Manning is also the 2015 recipient of the Texnikoi Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Engineering. She received her Executive MBA and an M.S. degree in International Management Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas.
