Once again, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is organizing The Annual John D. and Alice Nelson Kraus Memorial ECE Graduate Student Poster Competition to take place at the Dreese Laboratory on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:30 – 12:00 PM. Abstract submissions are solicited from graduate students in ECE at The Ohio State University. Accepted abstracts will be invited for poster presentation/competition.  Posters will be evaluated by experts, and awards will be presented to the top three (3) posters.

Competition Guidelines

Who may apply to compete: Any current ECE graduate student. Each student may enter only one abstract for consideration.  Each faculty or researcher may be advisor on more than one submitted abstract; however, only one submitted abstract per faculty or researcher will be chosen to compete.

Abstract submission is NOW OPEN.  Please send your abstracts to Beth Bucher (bucher.9@osu.edu).  The maximum length of a submission is 2 pages (including figures).  Abstracts will be reviewed by a committee, and accepted submissions will be invited to compete.

Judging:  Best posters will be identified by assigned reviewers during the event based on poster organization, oral presentation, research achievement, and overall recommendation. 

Prizes:  Top winners will receive place medals and prizes of $500 (1st), $300 (2nd), and $100 (3rd).

Agenda: Poster presentation and review: 9:30-11:30am; Awards: 11:30am-12:00pm. Light Breakfast will be provided for participants.
