It doesn’t take acting skills or stage presence to give a good technical talk, but it does take some planning. It's not the same as writing a paper! We offer some strategies for organizing your talk so that people can grasp your awesome technical content without being scared away or put to sleep. We’ll also go over how to make effective technical slides, and share some great stories from…unusual… presentations we have witnessed.

Free and open to the public.

Presenter: Prof. Betty Lise Anderson has taught Electrical and Computer Engineering for more than 25 years, and has seen her share of outstanding and also lousy talks over her career.
