Dr. Charles Wessner, a National Academy Scholar and Director of the Program on Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, will speak on “The Global Innovation Imperative – The Challenge of Sustaining US Leadership” from 4-5 pm on February 27, 2014, in Scott Laboratory, Room E100.  A Q&A session will be part of the discussion.

Dr. Wessner is a foremost authority on manufacturing innovation policy and successful public/private partnerships. He just published a major report, 21st Century Manufacturing, and is currently directing major studies on comparative innovation policies, such as best practices for the 21st Century, competing in the 21st century, and best practices in state and regional innovation.

Dr. Wessner is recognized nationally and internationally for his expertise and for his knowledge about the needs and benefits of high technology industries.
