Computing Resources

The computing resources for this department are managed by Engineering Technology Services (ETS). The ETS Service Portal can be reached at:

ETS does not use social security numbers. The university considers SSN to be "restricted" information. Please do not, ever, include that number when communicating with ETS Staff.

The university's key/card control system does use BuckID numbers. If you want Site assistance with diagnosing and correcting a keycard access problem it may be necessary to visit the site manager with your BuckID so your number can be checked against the keycard access control list.

ETS Computing Staff

Vincent Juodvalkis, Site Manager:

Vincent directs IT for ECE.  He has managed the department since December 1997 and in one capacity or another has been with the department since 1991.  His responsibilities include budgets, staff, strategic planning, and policy creation and compliance. Vincent is also the technical lead in networking, storage, virtualization and security.

Don Gibb,Windows Systems Administrator:

Don joined the ECE IT staff in February 2000, though he has been with the University since 1986. Don mostly focuses on the Windows servers and laboratories in the department. Don assists as needed with the desktop microcomputers in the department and supervises one of the site GAAs.

Edwin Lim, Desktop Systems Administrator:

Edwin joined the ECE staff in July 2005 after being a student employee for the previous 2 years. Edwin's primary responsibilities include the administration of the desktop systems within the department. 

Ron Terwilliger, Systems Engineer:

Ronjoined the ETS staff assigned to ECE in May 2016 after spending 18 months with the ElectroScience Lab. Ron is the main IT contact for SIMCenter and assists the other site staff members in their duties.

Your Computing Committee

The purchases and policies of ECE are governed by a computing committee comprised of faculty, the Site manager, and both an undergraduate and a graduate student representative. All students are encouraged to participate in the process by contacting their student representative.
