Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate students Digbijoy Nath and Dongyue Xue have both been awarded 2012 Presidential Fellowships, the most competitive and prestigious scholarly recognition provided by The Ohio State University Graduate School.

The Presidential Fellowship recognizes outstanding scholarship and research ability and provides recipients with the opportunity to devote themselves to their dissertation research full time.

Digbijoy Nath is a doctoral student from Assam, India. He completed his BE in electronics and electrical engineering from BITS, Pilani in India in 2008. His expertise lies in MBE growth and characterization of III-nitride hetero-structures for devices, fabrication and characterization of both lateral and vertical transistors. His research interests include hetero-structure band engineering for novel and high-performance devices, semiconductor transport and novel materials for useful devices. He is advised by Siddharth Rajan, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering.

Dongyue Xue is pursuing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering. He completed a BS in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2009. His research interests include dynamic resource allocation in cognitive radio networks and cross-layer scheduling in wireless networks. He is advised by Eylem Ekici, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering.
